Genuine SUVs are not very numerous, but we can still find interesting options on the market that resist the SUV trend. In addition to all this, the Japanese SUV stands out for the presence of the Toyota Safety Sense, the set of safety systems and driving assistance, among which we find emergency braking with pedestrian detection, the active speed programmer or the alert by unintentional lane change.

The Jeep Wrangler, as is the case with the Toyota Land Cruiser, is also for sale with two bodies, one with three doors and the other with five - the longest is 4.85 meters. It is also a vehicle clearly off-road use, even more than the Japanese in the sense that its performance on the road is not particularly brilliant. And beware, that is not a criticism. It just isn't meant for it.

The Jeep model offers two different engines, a 272-horsepower gasoline and a 200-horsepower diesel. The drive system is total, although it varies depending on the version. However, what really stands out is the presence of a central differential, something that allows driving with all-wheel drive even in situations with a lot of grip.

Another of the differential points of the Jeep Wrangler with respect to the Toyota Land Cruiser is that its roof can be canvas or rigid. The first can be opened, while the second allows the option to disassemble it. In addition, the five-door versions can be equipped with a hardtop with a canvas top.



Regarding the equipment, the Wrangler can offer elements such as Jeep Wrangler LED headlights, heated steering wheel and seats, a multimedia system with a screen of up to 8.4 inches and aids such as the warning of vehicles in the blind spot of the mirrors.

Despite the fact that both vehicles are off-road, choosing which of the two is better is not a matter of something that we can objectively determine. Each has its strengths and weaknesses. Therefore, we must pay more attention to the use that we are going to give the vehicle. The more campy our intentions are -and we are talking about 100%-, the better purchase the Jeep Wrangler will be. If we also want to make a civilized use of the car, better the Toyota Land Cruiser.
