FCA executives announced three Jeep launches for the coming months in Argentina.
* Compass Trailhawk: At the end of the year, the expected top-of-the-range version of the Jeep SUV for Segment C (compact) will arrive. This Trailhawk version has been manufactured in Brazil for three years, but only now will it reach our market. It has the same mechanics of the Renegade Trailhawk: 2.0 turbodiesel engine (170 hp and 350 Nm), combined with a nine-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive (with Select Terrain driving programs).
* Jeep Wrangler JL: The new generation of the Jeep all-terrain classic will arrive in Argentina in early 2020 (also, finally!). It will be offered with a body of two (Sport) and four doors (Unlimited), with different levels of equipment, including the Rubicon version. The only motorization confirmed at the moment for our market is the well-known Pentastar V6 3.6 (285 hp and 353 Nm). It will be combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission (with torque converter), double traction and gearbox.
* Jeep Gladiator: The Wrangler-based pick-up has a date of arrival in our market by mid-2020. It will have the same motorization of the JL, but with a cargo box to carry a ton and a tax advantage. Being approved as a commercial vehicle, the Gladiator pick-up will be exempt from internal taxes, a tax that repeatedly affected the Wrangler. Here you can find the
Jeep Gladiator JT led headlights, it is DOT SAE approved.
* Ram 2500 Facelift: Although outside the Jeep brand, FCA confirmed this afternoon at the end of the year there will be an update of the most powerful Ram-brand pick-up. The new 2500 will adopt the aesthetic and equipment changes already offered in the 1500 (2019, read review). It will continue to be imported from Mexico and will maintain the well-known six-cylinder Cummins engine: 6.7 turbodiesel (325 hp and 1,016 Nm). The new generation of the Ram, which is already sold in the United States (see photos), is still "under study" for Argentina.
