The new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 2021 is presented with 470 hp and many new features. The new model is based on the Jeep Wrangler 392 Concept.
Last July, the American company presented the Jeep Wrangler 392 Concept, a prototype that advanced a high-performance version of the Wrangler. Time has passed and four months later it has become official. This is the new 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392, a beast equipped with a powerful V8 engine (the first to be installed in a factory model in more than 40 years) and a host of new features.
Which is better, the Ford Bronco or the Jeep Wrangler?
Starting precisely with the jewel that hides under the hood, the 2021 Wrangler Rubicon 392 is equipped with a naturally aspirated 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine that reaches 470 horsepower and a maximum torque of 637 Nm, figures more than enough for the Jeep 4x4 to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in 4.6 seconds or the ¼ mile in 13 seconds. And all this, at the same time that it is tremendously effective off the asphalt.

The engine is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters, a first for the Jeep Wrangler, and sports an exhaust system with active valves that are managed automatically or manually, depending on the driver's wishes. It also equips the Torque Reserve function, which is a kind of launch control for asphalt capable of unleashing a little extra power.
However, the new 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 is designed to be as effective as possible off the road. Like the prototype unveiled in July, the production model increases its ground clearance by 2 inches and features upgraded suspension with unique geometry and Fox shocks. It also sports 17-inch wheels with massive 33-inch off-road tires. The

As a result, Jeep claims that the approach, departure and breakover angles have improved, although they have not gone into detail. What he has published is that the Rubicon 392 can ford water depths of up to 825mm. It features a three-level Hydro-Guide air intake system that directs water away from the engine, even if waves exceed the height of the engine when fording a river or lake. Also, if the bonnet gets covered in mud, this system allows the engine to continue to run normally even when peak-performance is required.
As for the traction system, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 has a Select-Track permanent 4WD system with reduction, four off-road driving modes, front and rear Dana 44 axles, electronic locking differentials and an electronically disconnecting front stabilizer bar. Jeep claims that torque is available from far down the rev range and that a 48:1 creep ratio allows the driver to use the V8 as a downhill engine brake.
On an aesthetic level, the grossest Wrangler we remember features Rubicon 392 badges, special wheels, a hood with a large air intake, a specific grill, a new instrument panel, new leather upholstery, infotainment system, security systems and driving assistance, body-color hardtop and a wide range of official accessories designed exclusively for the Rubicon 392.
At the moment we do not know if the 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 will also be available with a two-door body, while prices have not been revealed, although it is estimated that it will have a price tag of at least $60,000. Sales will begin during the first quarter of next year.
