As for the engine, the G 310 R is powered by a 313 cc liquid-cooled, four-valve single-cylinder which has the cylinder tilted back and the timing rotated 180º from the usual position. In this way the intake is carried out from the front and the exhaust gases leave the cylinder head from behind. Its power is 34 hp at 9,500 rpm and torque of 28 Nm at 7,500 rpm and it has a six-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch that allows safer reductions as well as a softer touch of its control.
