New Jeep Wrangler Mojave Debuts Before the End of the Year

According to a recent report, before the end of the current year we should attend the premiere of a new trim level for the Wrangler range, the future Jeep Wrangler Mojave. This will be similar to the Jeep Gladiator Mojave introduced last year and which has a specially enabled configuration for off-road use in the desert.



The US firm presented at the beginning of last year the new Jeep Gladiator Mojave, a new version of the pick-up with a marked off-road character that is characterized by a specific frame configuration, specially designed for use on sand or desert areas.

The configuration of this new variant is so radical that the brand added the "Desert Rated" emblem to it, following the "Trail Rated" stamp style that identifies the more capable versions of the Wrangler, which feature a specially designed frame configuration. enabled for off-road use, generally for trails.

At the moment we only find a Mojave version in the Wrangler range, the Jeep Gladiator Mojave presented in February of last year. Although according to this latest report, this version will soon cease to be the only one, as the American off-road manufacturer has developed a new Mojave version for the conventional Jeep Wrangler. This will arrive before the end of the year, although curiously, the report indicates that it will arrive as a 2021 model and not as a 2022 model, as would be expected. For Jeep Wrangler JL 2-18+, Jeep Gladiator JT 2020, they use same 9 inch Jeep Wrangler led headlights which are DOT SAE approved.We understand that given the delays that this health crisis has caused the automotive industry, it is to be expected that the Wrangler model year 2022 will have small new features at the equipment level, without major changes to the model or the composition of its catalog.

Like its brother in the pick-up range, the new Jeep Wrangler Mojave will have a new frame configuration, which will be specific to this version and which will surely have the same technical characteristics of the Gladiator Mojave. All these changes are centered on the frame, where we are going to find new wider and reinforced axles, a heavily modified suspension scheme with new FOX shock-absorbers, with new ground clearance and longer travel. The rims will be shod with massive 33-inch Falken Wildpeak off-road tires.

On the outside we will find a new, more bulky front hood with a large air intake, some off-road accessories and the different Mojave and Desert Rated emblems of this version. Inside we will find new coatings with Mojave emblems in various areas of the vehicle and a new driving mode, called "Off-road Plus", which once activated modifies the behavior of the accelerator, transmission and traction control to maximize the performance of the model off the tarmac.
